Social media is all over the place. Even my grandmother has a Facebook account and keeps up to date with all the family happenings online. I feel like this just happened over night, you know? Like one day we were all in just calling people on the phone to see how things are and the next day we just hop online to read tweets and status updates instead. It reminds me of when I first got direct tv and I was so pumped I could not even remember life before having all of those glorious channels. I’m not quite sure how it got to be this way, but I have to admit I kind of like it. Not only is social media good for me personally, but it is also beneficial on a professional level as well.
Being an architect means that I meet quite a few people, and I can network easily with other professionals in my industry or people I meet with social media. Seems like I’m not the only architect out there who is a bit crazy about social media. Well over half of architects are using Twitter and have been for over a year.
Because of Twitter it is simpler to connect with peers, other architects, stay current with news stories, get information, and much more. Find out why architects are all about Tweeting below.
